🏖️ Daytona Beach — A Moment of Growth for Our Kids

Our team traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida for a national championship — and every competitor came home with a medal and a lot more.

Not long ago, our Middleton U.S. Taekwondo team traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida, to compete in a national championship. It was a new city, under the hot sunshine, with athletes gathered from across the country. Our students stepped into the arena with both excitement and nerves, ready to face the challenge ahead.

From the moment they walked onto the floor, I could see something different in their eyes. There was fear, yes—but even more, there was determination: a promise to themselves that they would not give up until the end.

And the results speak for themselves: every single one of our competitors placed second in their divisions. Master Han, Sophia, and Louis each earned 2nd place medals, and so did every other member of our team. It was proof that consistency, teamwork, and grit truly pay off.

But beyond the medals, what moved me most was seeing every student push past their own limits, refusing to let nerves or setbacks define them. As parents, this is what you should be most proud of—not just the results, but the resilience and growth your children showed in the process.

🌟 About Middleton U.S. Taekwondo

Our dojang is more than just a martial arts school. At Middleton U.S. Taekwondo, we focus on building discipline, respect, and confidence in every student. We want kids to learn how to focus, push through challenges, and believe in themselves—not only in training, but in life.

What makes our school special is that we don't just train inside the studio—we also have a competition team that travels to local, regional, and even national events. Through our Travel Team, Junior Varsity, and Varsity programs, students have the chance to test their skills in real tournaments, travel with their teammates, and grow from experiences that go far beyond the walls of the dojang.

This national event in Daytona Beach reminded us once again that Taekwondo is not only about techniques—it's about giving kids the courage to step out of their comfort zone, the grit to keep going, and the joy of discovering how strong they really are.

As their Master, I see my role not only as a coach, but as a mentor and role model who shows them how to challenge, stumble, and rise again. (My own journey as a nationally ranked competitor is something I share with them, hoping to inspire their courage to dream bigger.)

To all parents reading this: know that what your children gained in Daytona Beach goes far beyond trophies. They gained courage, perseverance, teamwork, and the confidence to believe in themselves.

And this is just the beginning. At Middleton U.S. Taekwondo, we will continue to take on new challenges—both inside the dojang and out on the competition floor. We invite you to join us in this journey of growth, and to see how far your child can go when given the right opportunities. 🌟
