Welcome Parents to Middleton U.S. Taekwondo — Building Confidence, Respect & Community

Welcome to our blog — created especially for parents. Because behind every strong, respectful, confident child is a parent who cares deeply about their growth.

Welcome to the official blog of Middleton U.S. Taekwondo! This space was created especially for parents — because we know that behind every strong, respectful, and confident child is a parent who cares deeply about their growth.

Why Parents Choose Taekwondo for Their Kids

As parents, you want more than just an after-school activity. You want something that:

  • Builds your child's confidence in school and at home
  • Teaches respect, responsibility, and focus in everyday life
  • Provides a safe and structured environment that keeps kids motivated and engaged

That's exactly what Taekwondo offers. It's not just about martial arts techniques — it's about developing character, perseverance, and the life lesson of "fall seven times and get up eight."

Our Dojang Motto: Fall 7 Times and Get Up 8 (칠전팔기, 七顚八起)

At Middleton U.S. Taekwondo, our motto is simple but powerful: "Fall 7 times and get up 8."

This ancient phrase — 칠전팔기 (七顚八起) in Korean — means that no matter how many times you stumble or fall, you rise again with resilience.

For parents, this motto is more than just words. It is the heart of what we teach your children:

  • To keep trying, even when things are difficult
  • To develop grit and perseverance that carry into school, friendships, and life
  • To understand that success is not avoiding failure, but learning to stand back up stronger every time

How Middleton U.S. Taekwondo Supports Families

We believe this philosophy should guide every child's journey. That's why we provide:

  • A 12-belt system that teaches patience, goal-setting, and achievement
  • A training environment that balances fun and discipline
  • A community where kids learn to support each other and "strive together" (Com-Pete)

Many parents have shared stories of transformation — from shy children finding their voice, to students who once gave up easily now showing unstoppable perseverance.

Connecting With Our Community

Our dojang is proud to be an active part of Middleton and the surrounding communities of Beverly, Lynn, and soon Salem.

Through PTO fundraisers, after-school clubs, and local events, we work hand-in-hand with schools and families to support children's growth both on and off the mat.

When parents choose Middleton U.S. Taekwondo, they're not just choosing martial arts lessons. They're joining a community partnership that uplifts kids, families, and schools together.

Our Promise to Parents

Your role is the most important in your child's journey. Our mission is to stand beside parents, helping to raise strong, respectful, and resilient kids — in the dojang, at school, and at home.

This blog will share:

  • Parenting tips inspired by Taekwondo values
  • Stories of student growth and success
  • Updates on school partnerships and community events

✨ Thank you for being here. Together, we're building more than martial artists — we're raising confident, respectful leaders who live by the spirit of 칠전팔기 — Fall 7 times and get up 8.
